12 CLUBS – 12,000 CHILDREN SERVED

Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma affected many guests and their homes, yachts and businesses. However, the Rendezvous went on as planned despite fewer guests and yachts. Sultans, Shieks, and Genies invaded Fisher Island. The Golf Cart decorating contest brought out the creativity in everyone, some even included skits. Jim Belushi had the crowd dancing on their feet. Paul Sorvino auctioned off one of his sculptures. Joe Piscopo serenaded us. Evander Holyfield showed what a true champion he is as he shared the positive effects of the Boys & Girls Clubs in his life. Even with nature’s diasters, the generousity was overwhelming making this year’s Rendezvous the most successful ever. Certainly a miraculous event!
