The Rendezvous moved to its new home in Palm Beach: The Rybovich Yacht Club. Under the dream team, chairs Linda and Douglas Von Allmen and Fonda and Wayne Huizenga Jr. orchestrated a wonderful success. The christening of Christine Lynn’s new Norwegian Queen kicked off the yacht hop with an incredible display of fireworks. The ladies hit Worth Avenue to view the latest fashions and shopping after a luncheon at Neiman Marcus. Guests in poodle skirts and leather jackets sock hopped at Jeanette and John Staluppi’s Cars of Dreams Museum. The Rendezvous Gran Prix brought out the competitor in everyone- Doug Von Allmen was the champion. The Main Gala became a scene from the Great Gatsby. Incredible bidding wars and new Admiral Club Members include Barry Bekkedam and Diane Barnett, Tom Gonzales, Gary Blonder, Nicki and Ira Harris, Janet and Karl Davis, Chany Sabates, and Francois Roy. Rendezvous guests packed the dance floor listening to the hits of Earth Windand Fire. Our first year in Palm Beach was a large success!
