The 24th Annual ShowBoats International Rendezvous was held Nov 10- 12 under the chairmen Tony Harris, ShowBoats International Magazine and Howard Meyers, Burger Boats and Event Founders Rita and Rick Case. The weekend kicked off with the christening of Jeannie & Steve Hudson’s new yacht Harbour Island. Guests dined along the docks and hopped on the beautiful yachts as an amazing fireworks display lit up the sky. Guests participated in the Ferrari Ride and Drive and toured the amazing Milhous Museum. The roaring 20’s took over the Flagler White Hall Mansion with a Great Gatsby Themed gala. On a beautiful South Florida November Saturday, an old fashioned New England Clambake buffet by the Rybovich pool and docks featured lobster, clams, and “clam chowda.” Saturday’s black tie gala at Mar-a-Lago featured a specially designed Ulysse Nardin timepiece presentation to our long standing Admirals Club members. Steve Mariano, Claudio Ballard and Andrew Wurtele became new Admirals. Tom Gonzales did two Admirals Club memberships. The exciting live auction caused bidding wars on several items including vacations, a diamond necklace, and custom engraved timepieces. The Doobie Brothers rocked the crowd. The after party provided more dancing and some gaming tables. The Rendezvous was once again a success for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
