The 25th Annual ShowBoats International Rendezvous was held November 8-10 at the beautiful Atlantis, Paradise Island and was chaired by Felix Sabates and Kimberly LeCompte. Featuring sensational mega-yachts, a spectacular fireworks display, and Huey Lewis & The News headlining the Saturday Night Gala, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County’s 25th Annual ShowBoats International Rendezvous was the biggest and best event yet with the most guests and yachts in attendance to date. The three-day weekend of festivities kicked off with the christening of Linda and Douglas Von Allmen’s 187’ Trinity M/Y Lady Linda and a tremendous fireworks display presented by Sparktacular, while guests toured the yachts and enjoyed cocktails, fine wine, gourmet food and entertainment for a night to remember. Continuing with the fun, Friday featured a fishing tournament followed by an array of activities including a slot tournament and gambling lessons. The day’s festivities concluded with a poolside party featuring dinner, cocktails, and live entertainment by Caliente and The Village People. Saturday featured a beach Bahamian style BBQ, games and activities. The action-packed weekend concluded with a cocktail party and White Gala featuring an exciting live auction, gourmet dinner, and special entertainment by Huey Lewis & The News. That evening, we received a generous donation from the Salah Foundation, who matched the amount of four new admirals! The Silver Anniversary of the Rendezvous was a huge success for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County.
